Beale 1030
An economical family cruiser, with an emphasis on simplicity and style.
Designed by Auckland based designer Ray Beale this glass over ply yacht is certainly different to the high end carbon composite race yachts that Franklin's have become synonymous with in the last few years.
Featuring hard chines and laminated plywood construction we are able to construct this style of yacht quickly and efficiently with no need for expensive moulds or tooling.
Built for a Dunedin client this yacht will feature good internal volume, a large double berth in the fore-peak and two aft quarter berths.
The Beale 1030 features a lifting keel (photo of interior show centre case) making it ideal for cruising the South Pacific island groups, allowing easy access to sheltered inlets, lagoons and island atolls.
With this particular yacht we are taking it to hull and decks stage, with the owner planing to complete the balance of the work himself.
This is the beauty of working with Franklin's boatyards, we are happy to take on any job, be it big or small and to a stage to suits an owner's needs and finances.
Owning a Beale 1030
We feel that there is a gap in the market for a strong, well built, affordable no nonsense yachts and believe the Beale 1030 is such a yacht.
With this in mind, we have constructed the building jig in such a fashion that we can easily complete further boats - to what ever stage an owner wants.
